Modifiable Souriau 8STA Connectors and Accessories Now Available

Our motorsport division, Lane Motorsport, have now developed a facility in which the extremely small Souriau 01 8STA connector series can be modified and remodeled to suit a customer’s specific application.

Our Business Development Manager Peter Costin highlights how our customers often have a highly specific requirement not met by a standard product:

“The need to save weight and space, no matter how small, in a motorsport platform is crucial. As an example, we can save weight by turning a standard connector into a single flange version using the same high precision machining techniques used by the manufacturer. We can produce custom nut plates or gaskets that match the profile of the modified connector”.

Souriau’s size 01 8STA connector claims to have as much as a 20% saving in size and weight over the larger 02 series, while still having the same performance advantages, including resistance motorsport fluids. The Souriau size 01 connectors hold #26 removable contacts and wires from 24 to 30 AWG. 

Lane Motorsport’s size 01 8STA interconnection package also includes a variety of heatshrink boots made by HellermannTyton and protective caps by Weald Electronics. 

All Souriau connectors are assembled by us at Lane as an assembling distributor for Souriau. 8STA accessories are designed and manufactured in the UK by our sister Lodge Group company, Weald Electronics.
