We are very excited to bring you details of the new ultra-miniature shell size 01 8STA Series connector from Souriau. It’s certainly the smallest connector with the biggest performance.
As a company well known for providing high performance electronic connector solutions where the application or the environment places huge demands on the integrity of the connection, we are very happy to announce that we have added new connectors and connector assemblies to our motorsport product portfolio.
For more than 50 years, we’ve been providing high performance connector solutions to every market sector where the application or the environment places huge demands on the integrity of the connection, and nowhere is this better illustrated than in motorsport, an industry sector renowned for its rapid pace of development and for the demands it places on its supply chain.
In the motorsport market electronics are increasingly being used, while at the same time space and weight constraints are becoming more and more important, with dependability an additional must. It's for this reason that the Souriau 8STA series are so highly coveted. The 8STA series are miniature circular connectors designed to be smaller and lighter with high-reliability features that ensure race performance and driver safety.
As a Souriau-approved assembler, Lane are able to provide a wide variety of high density circular connectors, with many meeting the requirements of the MIL-DTL-38999 standard, and others being derived from that standard. In particular, we have available Souriau’s standard high density 8D/38999 connectors and their 8STA range which is widely used throughout all forms of motorsport and other applications where space, weight and environmental protection are crucial.
From the 10th until the 13th of January, Lane Motorsport exhibited at this year's Autosport Engineering show at Birmingham’s NEC, where it's safe to say our booth attracted a lot of interest for our motorsport connectors and connector accessories. As usual, we were promoting a comprehensive electronic interconnection package centred on Souriau’s 8STA connector series and a broad range of accessories made by HellermannTyton and Weald Electronics.
Lane Motorsport will be showcasing its most comprehensive electronics connector and accessory selection to-date on January 10th and 11th at Autosport Engineering 2019 (they'll be based at stand E760).
Our Motorsport division have now made available Souriau 8STA high power circular connectors which are designed for specific applications where high performance, small size and light weight are key factors, such as the motorsport sector.
Find out how Loughborough University’s Formula Student team, LUMotorsport, who are sponsored by our Motorsport division Lane Motorsport, performed in their 2017 season and what their plans are for 2018.
Significant investment in our tooling and inventory levels will ensure that customers for Souriau’s 8STA High Density (HD) Series of circular connectors will soon not have to wait for prototypes and small quantities beyond a few days.
We are very happy to make available acomprehensive package of 8STA compatible accessories made by HellermannTyton and Weald Electronics.
