Carriage and Packaging
Dear Customer
Due to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East and associated disruption to global fuel supplies we are unfortunately now experiencing increases to our costs of Carriage. We are delaying any immediate action while we continue to assess the real impact of these increases, with our hope that we can ultimately minimise their impact but in the meantime, we wish to advise you that the Carriage and Packing prices listed below may regrettably have to increase.
At Lane Electronics we strive to provide the highest levels of service and value for money. As such we maintain a fair and cost-effective approach to carriage and packing charges in line with what we would hope to enjoy ourselves. This is coupled with our policy of making no charge for our certificates of conformity, having no minimum order charge and in most instances dispatching stock items on the day of order.
As stated on our Quotations and Acknowledgments, our Standard Carriage charges are as follows:
England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland
We charge for packing and standard delivery per consignment and the cost is based on the goods value before VAT:

This scale of charges will not apply to non-standard deliveries, where separate advice will be provided on our quotations.
Export Orders
Charges for exporting goods worldwide will be passed on at cost. Costs can only be established after packing when the final weight and volume can be determined. The charges will be clearly itemised on any export invoice unless the shipping is performed by the customers nominated agent and subsequently charged directly to their account.
Ecommerce Transactions
Carriage for Ecommerce transactions is calculated as per Standard Carriage above. Carriage for UK deliveries starts at £8.50, carriage for deliveries to other countries starts from £15.96. The exact carriage charge is calculated at checkout.
