This is well illustrated in the case of circular MIL 38999 connectors, as we have years of 38999 piece-part stock development and assembly experience. We are an authorised Souriau distributor and so can supply standard 38999 products in normal finishes (if in stock) on a next day delivery basis, or on a five day assembly process timescale.

Authorised Souriau distributors for assembling 8STA circular connectors

We are a Souriau assembling distributor for the industry leading 8STA circular Souriau connector series, which are used throughout motorsport in communications equipment, batteries, fuel pumps, starters and alternators, engine control units, data acquisition systems, and harnesses.

Souriau connectors are widely regarded as the best and most suitable range for use in the harsh working environments of the motorsport industry, meeting the exacting requirements of performance, size and weight.

We consider the new Souriau high density (HD) 8STA connectors to be the smallest and lightest circular connectors available and their high density capability provides up to 68 size 26 contacts, using 24 to 30 AWG wire, allowing for a smaller shell size.

Available in seven shell sizes in seven layouts from size 02 to 14, they are 100% scoop proof and have a positive locking mechanism with locked colour indicators. The connectors can handle 500 mating cycles, 300g shock for 3ms, and vibration levels to 147m/s2, at 10 to 2000Hz.

They can withstand salt spray and other common motorsport fluids, operate at temperatures ranging from – 55ºC to +175ºC and, when mated, meet the requirements of IP67.
