Leading electrical and electronic connector specialist FC Lane Electronics recently played host to HUBER+SUHNER’s mobile roadshow, which this year presented the latest developments for applications in the fields of aviation, space, and defence.
“HUBER+SUHNER’s mobile roadshow allows the widest possible audience to view and discuss the company’s latest connectivity solutions and, as a HUBER+SUHNER distributor, we were naturally pleased that our applications support team and our customers were able to be involved in the UK leg of the roadshow” said Lane’s Managing Director Simon Hammerton.
“A variety of new product developments were on display including a phase stable cable, connectivity devices that allow RF over fibre and a family of vehicle antennas for tactical communication and electronic countermeasure (ECM) applications.”

The new phase stable cable suits the frequency range DC to 40GHz and demonstrates excellent phase and insertion loss stability over temperature, as well as outstanding phase stability versus bending.
The new RF-over-Fibre Series enables the use of Radio Frequency and Fibre Optics in a single system. The benefits of this solution include no changes required to existing RF infrastructure, weight saving, the ability to cover greater distances (>100 km) with less loss, and the availability of wide frequency ranges.

HUBER+SUHNER’s wideband vehicle antennas cover the frequency range 380 to 6000 MHz and are suitable for RF systems used in tactical communication and electronic countermeasure (ECM) applications. They have an extremely robust and compact design, are easy to install, and feature a power level of up to 200W.
