MIL-DTL-83513 (once MIL-C-83513) relates to micro-miniature, rectangular connectors with solder or non-removable crimp contacts. Connectors designed to meet the standard can handle demanding applications and harsh environments and feature low contact resistance, high current capability and high dielectric strength. As well as high pin density, the connectors offer high resistance to shock and vibration. Formerly known as MIL-C-83513, the connectors can be referred to as Micro-D connectors and are used widely in mission critical applications where signal transmission integrity is vital. These can include missile guidance, radar systems etc.
The Nicomatic DMM Series Micro-D meet the requirements of MIL-DTL-83513G and feature a 2mm pitch in one to four rows available in shell sizes capable of holding 2 to 120 contacts. Designed for cable and printed circuit board applications (PCB), versions available include on-cable, straight and right-angle PCB.
