Simon Hammerton is Managing Director of FC Lane and Weald Electronics and is ultimately responsible for co-ordinating all areas of the businesses, working closely with his management team which he has assembled over recent years.  Commencing in 1996 with Weald Electronics, Simon was appointed Managing Director of Lane Electronics in 2009.

From the outset of his career, Simon has been involved with many different aspects of the manufacture and sale of electro-mechanical and interconnection products across military, aerospace, medical, communications and a wide variety of other industrial sectors.  Simon has previously worked for, amongst others, Lorlin Switches, Mullard’s Space Science Laboratory and Tesla Engineering and his experience spans precision tooling, special purpose machine and product design and manufacture along with Production, Project, Sales and Business management.

Simon has continued to strengthen the Company’s military, aerospace and industrial connector capability, whilst developing new market opportunities such as in motorsport, where the Company now has a dedicated Motorsport division.
