Our motorsport division, Lane Motorsport, will once again be showcasing the industry-leading Souriau 8STA series of connectors at the Professional MotorSport World Expo taking place from the 7th until the 9th of November 2018. Souriau's 8STA series of connectors are designed to reliably connect technology across all forms of motorsport.

Uses for these weight and space-saving, high-performance connectors within motorsport include connecting engine management systems and sensors, batteries, starters, alternators, fuel pumps, and control and data carrying harnesses.

Along with the 8STA connectors themselves, Lane Motorsport will be presenting a comprehensive package of 8STA-compatible motorsport accessories that are manufactured by Weald Electronics and HellermannTyton. Lane Motorsport is now HellermannTyton’s biggest distributor of boots for the motorsport market with large stocks of the standard boots, glue-lined boots and high-temperature boots for fuel tank applications, and other uses. 

Some of the accessories that Weald can offer include nut plates, protective caps and gaskets – all of which are designed to save weight and meet the extreme environments found within the motorsport sector.

Lane Motorsport now has a facility in which the tiny Souriau 8STA connector series can be modified and remodeled to suit a customer’s specific application. Examples on show at PMW will include weight and space-saving single flange versions of the standard connector and custom nut plates or gaskets that match the profile of the modified connector.
