Robust Plastic Bodied Sub-Miniature Connectors For Space-Limited Applications

We are happy to announce three ranges of robust plastic-bodied connectors developed to suit a number of applications where space is a vital commodity. Manufactured by Weald Electronics, SM/SMA Series connectors are available with 1, 2 or 3 contacts, rated at 3, 7 and 12A with a peak working voltage of 500V, DC or AC. The SMC Series connectors have 3 contacts rated at 3A with a peak working voltage of 500V, DC or AC.

The high density plastic mouldings of the SM/SMA Series give the connectors a high arc resistance and high dielectric and mechanical strength while the spring-tempered, phosphor bronze contacts are gold plated for easy soldering, low contact resistance and proof against corrosion. 

The SM/SMA plug or socket is available in black or blue and can be panel or cable mounted. There is a choice of six coloured discs for identification purposes. SMC Series connectors are available with black and white low density plastic mouldings.
