A range of protective caps / protective covers / dust caps designed for use with high performance circular connectors is offered by Lane Electronics. These caps compliment Lane’s offering of Eaton / Souriau military D38999 / MIL-DTL-38999 series III and motorsport 8STA connector ranges as well as Weald Electronics LMH/MIL-DTL-26482 series 1, and LMJ / MG / MIL-DTL-5015 connector ranges.  

The use of a protective cap is recommended to preserve the integrity of a connector when not in use by eliminating the possibility of fluid and dirt ingress, which could seriously impair the mechanical and electrical performance of the connector. Protective covers also provide a high level of mechanical protection to the mating faces of connectors when fitted.

Machined from Aluminium alloy for strength and light weight or Nickel Aluminium Bronze for superior corrosion resistance (for Eaton / Souriau JVS Range), the caps come equipped with fluid resistant gaskets for maximum protection and are available in a wide range of finishes.  Users can specify woven restraining cords, Teflon coated wire rope or chain Lanyards.
