Lane Electronics wide portfolio of connector backshells are designed for high-performance applications including defence and aerospace as well as demanding industrial applications and motorsport. Fundamentally, backshells provide the transition between the connector and the chosen cable and provide sealing and strain relief. Backshells are essential to protect the cable termination and maintain the environmental and RFI screening integrity of the overall connector to cable interface. The most popular backshells are strain relief, cable clamps, heat shrink boot adaptors and EMI/RFI shielding backshells.

LMA Series back shells are manufactured in the UK by Weald Electronics and extensively stocked by Lane and sold with no MOQ. Non-stocked items can be designed, developed, manufactured and supplied to customers in industry beating lead times. They include AS85049/ M85049 backshells and adaptors for MIL-DTL-26482, MIL-DTL-38999/D38999 and MIL-DTL-5015 specification circular connectors.
