Lane Motorsport’s Booth Proves Popular at Autosport Engineering 2019

From the 10th until the 13th of January, Lane Motorsport exhibited at this year's Autosport Engineering show at Birmingham’s NEC, where it's safe to say our booth attracted a lot of interest for our motorsport connectors and connector accessories. As usual, we were promoting a comprehensive electronic interconnection package centred on Souriau’s 8STA connector series and a broad range of accessories made by HellermannTyton and Weald Electronics.

Loughborough University Unveils 2016 Formula Student Car

Last year we told you about our involvement with Loughborough University and its exciting racing car project which did so well in last year’s Formula Student competition. You may remember Lane Motorsport provided a variety of Souriau 8STA connectors for use throughout the car. Loughborough University ended 2015 as the 3rd UK team in the World rankings and, now, the team has unveiled its car for 2016 – the LFS16.

Heat Shrink Boots for Backshell to Cable Transitions Now Available

We have now made available a wide range of heat shrinkable boots designed for strain relieving applications where motorsport connectors have integral backshell and other connector designs use boot adaptor backshells to save weight to cable transitions, as well as in other areas where insulation and component protection are key requirements.

Brilliant Start to the Season by Lane Motorsport’s Sam Osborne

A first in class, a second in class and two top ten finishes overall represents a fantastic start to the 2016 season by our sponsored Thundersport 600 Sportsman competitor Sam Osborne. 24-year-old Sam, who rides for the leading tuning and racing team MSG Racing, modestly described the first race weekend of the season at Brands Hatch as a “testing weekend with extreme conditions... but I am very happy to get my first win of the season and put some points on the board”.
