• To undertake timely final assembly inspection and record results in accordance with Company work instructions.
  • Release of final assembly product to stores or to Lane distribution against release certification, ensuring batch travellers have been correctly completed.
  • Completing assembly scrap dockets for defective parts/assemblies and reporting results to the Quality Department.
  • As and when required, provide visual and measurement line inspection of sub-assemblies and report any non-conformities to the Quality Department.
  • To undertake other assembly-related/production activities to support Lane Assembly, within known capability, as and when required.
  • At all times, operate to relevant Company quality standards and guidelines.
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy essential.
  • Previous component inspection/small batch assembly production experience preferred, although not essential.
  • The ability to work unsupervised and on own initiative essential.
  • Basic level computer literacy in order to operate internal Company systems.
  • An aptitude towards technology would be useful.
  • The ability to take a logical approach when undertaking tasks.
  • Good standard of general education, ideally to GCSE level.
  • A willingness to learn new skills.
  • Must be able to respond to pressure in a positive manner.
  • Adaptable and flexible with a positive, ‘can-do’ attitude.
39½ hours per week – 8.30 am to 5.15 pm Monday to Thursday and 8.30 am to 3.30 pm Fridays with 30 minutes for lunch each day.
