Small orders are no problem for Lane's Last week I needed to get hold of a few TNC plugs urgently. As always I used the internet to locate various possible suppliers and found five potential ones in the UK. One of these was helpful, but unable to supply what I needed, and one e-mailed back that they couldn't help - but five days after being asked. Two never gave me a useful answer at all. Your Sales Dept. sounded a hopeful note, and Laetitia Pogu phoned back and asked sensible questions. A day later she phoned again and had been able to make an intelligent substitution which she checked with me and faxed a quote. The correct goods then arrived by post quickly afterwards. Sales Departments that do not display a call-centre mentality and include good-mannered people with wit and intelligence are becoming too scarce; they need bolstering. This was excellent service.
